Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 01, 2012
The Bridgespan Group today announced the re-launch of Bridgespan.org, the organizations free resource for leaders of nonprofits, foundations, philanthropies and other mission-driven organizations. The site will support Bridgespans ongoing collaboration with leaders to accelerate social impact.
According to Jeff Bradach, Bridgespans co-founder, The redesigned website continues to offer the sector free, high quality, strategy tools and insights, but builds out a deep set of resources on issues that can make the difference in getting results: philanthropy and funding models, performance measurement/management and leadership development.
One of the sites most dramatic enhancements involves combining Bridgespans two sites, Bridgestar.org and Bridgespan.org. The new site hosts a job board and information on leadership development, retention, and recruitment, as well as descriptions of new services such as the Leadership Development Institute, which trains leaders in small groups over a series of projects specific to their goals.
Kirk Kramer, a partner who heads Bridgespans leadership practice area and recently co-authored Plan A: How Successful Nonprofits Develop Their Future Leaders, said, We know that organizations ability to deliver results depends more on the quality of their people than on any other single variable. Housing the job board on Bridgespan.org underscores that relationship. The combined sites will provide nonprofits and foundations with valuable strategy advice at a single destination that also offers a vehicle for finding top talent, connecting mission-driven individuals to management and board positions, disseminating useful information about organizations leaders, and providing insights into the skill sets being sought by nonprofit organizations.
According to Jan Masaoka, CEO of the California Association of Nonprofits and Publisher of Blue Avocado, an online magazine for community nonprofits, The Bridgespan site stands out on the web for quality material on crucial topics. With the new material on leadership and careers it will be even more valuable.
Finally, the redesigned site will create space for visitors voices to join critical discussions via comments on articles and blogs as well as content rating throughout the site. The technology of the new site, says Chris Lindquist, Bridgespans online editorial director, will let us host a variety of platforms to enhance learning, for example: regular blogs on performance measurement/management and on the intersection between government and philanthropy; webinars; videos; podcasts; polls; greater connection to peers through our vibrant LinkedIn communities; and, more frequent updates.
The site also links to GiveSmart.org, Bridgespans vanguard site for philanthropists seeking to achieve results with their giving.
Bridgespan.org is expected to attract more than 1.2 million annual visits. The sites URL is: http://www.bridgespan.org. To learn more about the new site, view the virtual tour.
